The construction of the Léry elementary school, at a cost of $30 million, will accommodate 513 students from preschool to sixth grade. It will have six preschool classrooms (for 4- and 5-year-olds), 20 elementary classrooms, and specialized classrooms for students with disabilities or adjustment or learning difficulties. Built according to the government’s new-generation school concept, it also includes three collaboration and socialization areas that can be shared with the daycare service, as well as two sports fields. New technologies, brightness, energy efficiency, and sustainable development will characterize this new gathering place. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022 near Rue des Galets.
