TDF Canada is investing nearly $190 million in the construction of its first North American plant in Sorel-Tracy, a major project that will create 120 skilled jobs. This five-story, 40,000m² facility will be dedicated to the manufacture of technical nonwoven textiles made from virgin or recycled polyester. The plant will house the Canadian headquarters, laboratories, technical facilities, warehouses, and four vertical production lines. This project aims to bring strategic expertise back to Quebec and secure the local supply chain by reducing dependence on imports.
Driven by a sustainable vision, the plant will use recycled materials and incorporate a water treatment system, while limiting nuisances for the community. This project reflects the regional mobilization and growing economic attractiveness of Sorel-Tracy, particularly thanks to its strategic location and industrial infrastructure.
The plant is scheduled to begin operations in late 2027. Revenco is responsible for the electrical work.
