This major project, which will accommodate up to 1,256 students when the 2023 school year begins, represents an investment of nearly $157 million for the construction of the building and all of the school’s equipment and furniture. In addition to this amount, the City of Terrebonne is contributing $600,000 to make this school a refuge zone in the event of a disaster. The total cost of the project is therefore over $164 million. It should also be noted that the city has transferred land valued at $2.7 million to the CSSDA, where the new school will be built.
In addition to 43 regular and multifunctional classrooms, the school will house six science rooms, eight art rooms, two double gymnasiums, a palestra, three cafeterias, a student café, and an auditorium with retractable seating for 400 people. The City of Terrebonne will also build a synthetic soccer field outside.
